Outsource Manager

4A Games is a multinational video game development studio with offices in both Malta and Ukraine – known for its atmospheric first-person shooters Metro 2033, Metro: Last Light, ARKTIKA. 1, and our latest release, Metro Exodus.

Established in Kyiv, Ukraine in 2005, the studio was founded by a passionate team of game industry veterans with the goal of creating AAA-quality games for gaming PCs and then “next-gen” game consoles. In 2014, the studio moved its headquarters, along with more than 50 team members and their families, from Ukraine to Malta.

Currently, at the heart of the company there are over 150 talented designers, programmers, artists, effects specialists, and writers from all over the world, with diverse and unique backgrounds – bringing countless years of experience in and love towards software development and computer games in particular.

Na jakie zadania (obowiązki)?

We are seeking a talented Outsource Manager to join our team. The job will require working with Art Leads and Producers to identify, schedule, and manage outsource assets from start to finish, while constantly seeking to improve delivery performance and pipelines.

• Be the primary point of contact for external vendors and contractors.

• Work with studio management to find and contract outsource vendors and contractors to assist with asset production.

• Adapt and improve current outsource pipeline and process.

• Track assets from job sheet all the way to implementation.

• Work with department Leads and Producers to identify asset needs that will be outsourced.

• Work with Producers and Art Managers to create schedule for each vendor and batch of outsource assets.

• Ensure timely internal turnaround on feedback.

• Ensure that outsourcing milestone obligations are met.

• Process quotes and invoices for approval with leadership, liaise with Accounting.

• Work with Production leadership to track and maintain budgets.

Jakiego specjalisty szukamy?

• Multi-lingual proficiency (English required).

• 3+ years of experience working in Production.

• 2+ years of experience working with outsource processes either at a vendor or developer.

• Experience managing and maintaining complex budgets.

• Experience working in multiplatform development studios.

• Previously shipped AAA title(s).

• Experience with multiple project management methodologies.

• Exceptional organizational skills.

• Excellent communication skills.
  

PREFERENCES

• Proactive self-starter.

• Skill in one or more game art disciplines.

• 5+ years professional industry experience.

• Familiar with 3D Max, Zbrush, Photoshop, and other 2D/3D authoring tools.

• Good sense of perspective – able to switch between “details” and “big picture” as needed.

• Desire to continually improve processes.

• A passion for outsourcing.

• A passion for games.
