Educational Game Developer

*This description is not for a full-time role within Legends of Learning, we are just looking to work with developers interested in revenue share as independent contractors who would like to make an impact building games for our platform.

Welcome to Legends of Learning! We are looking to expand our library of over 1,500 Math and Science learning games and we need your help! Want to make something good for kids while getting paid great money? Come join the sprint!

It is easy: We’ll give you the concepts you need to teach inside your game, and you decide how to make the best 10-15 minute game to teach them.

Know how to teach “Adding Fractions” with a side-scroller? Great!

Think you can make an awesome tower defense game to teach “Plant Structure and Function”? Go for it!

Whether you are an independent developer or a 100-person studio, we want to work with you. The highest played, highest rated games make the most money on our platform, and a median new game can earn over $10,000.00 in 2022. Developers retain IP for the games published on our platform. 

We’ve worked with 500 studios already, and we've paid out millions to game developers on our platform with payouts accelerating year over year.

На какие задачи (обязанности)?

While Legends of Learning is an educational game company, we operate on the assumption that current educational games are not very good nor fun. Through an innovative marketplace of educational games, Legends of Learning teaches math and science to nearly 10 million students in over 30,000 schools (and growing fast). We are looking to work with passionate game developers interested in revenue share to build FUN games that also happen to teach.

Какого профессионала ищем?

Games on our platform usually consist of 10-15 minutes of gameplay to teach a specific academic topic, and developers have complete creative freedom (really!) in how that topic is taught (e.g. you can create a tower defense game to teach “Heat as Energy Transfer” or a match-3 style game to teach “Chemical Reactions in Cellular Respiration”). Developers don't have to be a subject expert as once a topic is chosen, we will provide curriculum and technical specs that are very straightforward to follow.

The median new game will earn $8-13k in 2022 (annually), with this number rising each successive year ($15k+ in 2023, $20k+ in 2024, etc.). The longer your game stays on the platform, the more you will earn, and some devs have multiple games on the platform so their total earnings can be much higher. Developers have complete creative freedom and retain IP for the games published on our platform.
