Game Explorer Team Lead

In this role, you will play an important part in creating new game playthrough data sets that will enable the Product Insights team to develop new insights to support free-to-play games across the Big Fish portfolio. This will entail playing many hours of games every day, in a variety of different ways, and recording detailed playthrough data for future analysis. As team lead, you’ll enable maximum team productivity, sourcing & training new Game Explorer talent, structuring data set collection projects, and ensuring on-time & on-quality project delivery.

The successful candidate has a passion for not only playing games but also playing them deeply and in a variety of different ways to learn how they work. They are extremely organized, detail-oriented, and are highly accomplished at coordinating multiple parallel workstreams across small multi-person teams. The ideal candidate is eager to build ground-level games industry expertise and help ship new hit games!

На какие задачи (обязанности)?

• Hire & train new Game Explorers to maintain Game Explorer Team productivity & expertise

• Manage division of project work across multiple Game Explorers

• Define new data collection templates for the team to use to precisely record & organize gameplay data

• Play a wide variety of free-to-play mobile games every day

• Collect detailed gameplay data from multiple playthroughs about level progression, item types & costs, live ops events, sales & offer details, marketing messages, & similar

• Change gameplay behavior according to predefined playthrough scripts based on project needs & data collection objectives

• Reliably and proactively communicate with rest of Product Insights team, delivering time-sensitive data on schedule, on budget, and ensuring it meets quality requirements for every project

Какого профессионала ищем?

— 10+ years of work experience (possible non-IT)
— Worked in mobile games or console/PC games for 2+ of those 10 years
— Experience in managing a team of 3-8 people for at least 3 years and were involved in the hiring and/or firing of staff
— Passion for playing games — experience playing casual free-to-play mobile games daily is preferred
— Planner — Experience coordinating & organizing multiple projects across multi-person teams
— Highly reliable — Excellent time management skills & attention to detail required
— Flexible — Ability to respond to changing project requirements
—  Strong written and verbal English communication skills
